Asymmetries

Today, dermal fillers in aesthetic medicine consist of just hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is one of the fundamental components of connective tissues in all mammals. Its natural production – unfortunately – tends to decrease over the years. Being an innate part of our body makes this polysaccharide product biocompatible, with no risk of skin reactions. For this reason and its highly absorbable nature, hyaluronic acid plays a leading role when we talk about dermal fillers.

Fillers

Absorbable dermal fillers act through the localized filling of the dermis, correcting certain types of wrinkles and depletions.

The results of hyaluronic dermal fillers have up to now, proven to be satisfactory for millions of patients all over the world. This type of aesthetic medicine treatment reduces nasolabial wrinkles and small depressions, gives firmness to sagging cheekbones and thin lips. In addition, it deeply hydrates the skin from inside, restoring its vitality.

Effects of hyaluronic acid fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers can give your face a younger, more toned and more compact appearance. They can also restore facial volumes, reduce wrinkles with natural results, improve skin tone and hydration, and prevent the signs of aging.

Hyaluronic acid fillers procedure

The procedure involves injecting hyaluronic acid into specific areas of the face. The treatment is painless, but in most cases the specialist will apply a small amount of anesthetic cream.

Each session lasts about 20-30 minutes, and allows an immediate return to normal daily activities.

The results are visible immediately.

Areas where hyaluronic acid fillers are injected

Hyaluronic acid is used to counteract the natural aging process, and the progressive decrease of collagen production, which leads to thinner skin tissue and wrinkles of varying depth, especially in very specific areas of the face such as:

  • eye contour (crow’s feet)
  • nasolabial folds (the lines between the base of the nostrils and the corners of the mouth)
  • upper lip (barcode or smoker’s lines)

Reintegrating hyaluronic acid into the skin tissues therefore allows:

  • deep hydration by stimulating collagen production
  • filling micro-roughness as well as deep furrows already evident on the face
  • prevention of aging in the clinic’s “Regener-Age” perspective.

Hyaluronic acid to redefine face volume

In addition to reducing wrinkles, hyaluronic acid helps you to support skin tissue that tends to “slip” downwards over the years, such as around cheekbones, chin and jawline.

Dermal filler types

There are different types of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, distinguished according to the density (low, medium, high) and the ability to “create volume”:

  • low density fillers, indicated for superficial wrinkles and characterized by a more rapid reabsorption
  • medium density fillers, indicated for the deepest wrinkles (for example nasolabial folds or puppet wrinkles)
  • high-density fillers, also called volumetric fillers, indicated for supporting areas such as cheekbones and jawline.

The choice of the most suitable product is made by the aesthetic doctor on the basis of the area and depth that needs to be treated.

Results

The aesthetic medicine treatment with hyaluronic acid gives immediate results: the injections make it possible to smooth out wrinkles and redefine facial volume in a natural and harmonious way. The effects generally last from 6 to 9 months, after which it is possible to repeat the treatment.

In summary

For whom is it appropriate

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are applied to eliminate crow’s feet (lines around the eyes), wrinkles around the lips (barcode), glabellar wrinkles (between the eyebrows), nasogenic wrinkles. In addition, hyaluronic acid in aesthetic medicine is used to increase the volume of certain areas, (lips, cheekbones, chin and eyelids) and with rhinofillers procedures (to change the shape of the nose, non-surgical rhinoplasty).
