Preparing for Vacation

Ready to enjoy your well-deserved rest and go on vacation?

Always remember sun protection, starting with SPF 50+ on face and décolleté. It should be applied multiple times daily, before and after swimming. While it won't completely prevent tanning, it will prevent skin discoloration, burns, and loss of essential proteins like collagen and elastin that provide skin elasticity, and prevent skin cancers. Don't forget to protect the rest of the body by applying at least SPF 30+ protection multiple times throughout the day.

Skin must be kept clean with thorough cleansing. During summer, allow skin to breathe and avoid occlusive creams that promote comedone formation. A Hydrafacial treatment before departure is ideal for establishing the foundation for radiant skin from day one of vacation.

Hydration is essential for health and a fresh appearance: minimum 1.5 liters of water daily, preferably more, as both heat and air conditioning can dehydrate skin. Fresh fruits and vegetables help replenish vitamins and fluids. Restore lost minerals through a balanced diet, supplemented with mineral supplements if necessary.

What about facial care?

For those who furrow their brow in sunlight and wish to avoid distinct tan lines on the glabella (bridge of the nose), eye area, and forehead, we recommend botulinum toxin injections to reduce muscle contraction and relax expression lines. Treatment is recommended at least 1 week before departure. With botulinum toxin, specific treatment points can be selected to achieve varying degrees of muscle relaxation.

Upon returning from vacation, maintain the radiant appearance achieved through relaxation by continuing adequate hydration, maintaining proper skincare and cleansing routines, and scheduling another Hydrafacial and Skinbooster treatment to tone the face.
