FACE
Also known as a nasal hump, the small bump on the nose, which so often creates aesthetic discomfort, is generally an inherited trait of congenital origin. In some cases, it can instead arise following traumas such as a broken septum. Although it sometimes gives character to the face, appearing as an excessive protrusion of the nasal dorsum in the profile line, the hump often leads to a desire for a more gentle nose, especially when associated with alterations in respiratory functionality.
There are two solutions for correcting a nasal hump:
Rhinoplasty (or, alternatively, rhinoseptoplasty in case of a deviated septum and other issues affecting breathing). These are both aesthetic-plastic surgery procedures of the nose that allow for modifying its shape and size, and in the case of rhinoseptoplasty, also restoring respiratory functionality.
Rhinofiller, an aesthetic medicine procedure that avoids surgery, performed using special biocompatible and resorbable hyaluronic acid-based fillers that last for 6 months, thanks to which it is possible to redesign the nose to obtain the desired shape.
